Our Story
At Jefferson Healthcare Center, we welcome you “home.” Our staff is dedicated to improving the quality of life of our residents and their families. Our team is composed of professionals in nursing, dietary, activities and therapy who create a customized plan of care for the residents entrusted to our care. We work closely with our Medical Director to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes for our resident “family” while also creating a homelike environment.
We are located near the mighty Mississippi River. Our proximity to New Orleans provides a variety of entertainment and dining opportunities for our residents and their families to enjoy while working to achieve the highest levels of independence possible through our therapy department.
Jefferson Healthcare Center has four residential “neighborhoods” named after historical New Orleans streets: Royal (100-Hall), St. Charles (200-Hall), Orleans (300-Hall) and Frenchman (400-Hall). Frenchman is our Alzheimer’s and Dementia Wing and is specifically designated for our residents that require a safe environment due to Alzheimer’s, dementia or other illnesses that include a potential for wandering.
We welcome you home and look forward to partnering with you to achieve the best possible care during your stay at Jefferson Healthcare Center.
